A celebration event has been held to mark the success of a project aimed to improve the lives of women.
Pendle Women’s Forum has been successfully delivering the Stepping Stones Project funded by the Big Lottery Fund in Pendle for the last four years.
The project has been providing services and opportunities for unemployed women to access education, employment and training and many unemployed women have benefited from this project and continue to do so.
Some of the services offered from the project include careers guidance, counselling, searching for jobs, improving computer skills, producing a CV or completing application forms and developing interview skills.
Mevish Mahmood, from Pendle Women’s Forum, said: “The project wanted to mark the achievements of all the ladies that have used the Stepping Stones Project services and accomplished something positive for themselves as a result.
“For this reason Pendle Women’s Forum along with the Mayor of Pendle held a presentation event to commemorate their achievements, in which women were celebrated for their improvement on the project.
“The day was a great success with over 70 ladies attending to mark their accomplishments.”
