The annual Knights of St Columbia Junior School Quiz has taken place and yet again proved that there are some little geniuses out there!
Five Catholic primary schools from across Pendle went head to head in a nail-biting competition testing their general knowledge and curricular skills.
Year 6 pupils from Holy Trinity RC Primary School, St John Southworth RC Primary School, Sacred Heart RC Primary School, St Joseph’s RC Primary School and Holy Saviour RC Primary School all took part in the tournament.
But in the end it was the Barnoldswick St Joseph’s team who took the victory, scoring an impressive 39 points out of 48 and narrowly beating last year’s winners Sacred Heart.
Youth officer and member of the KSC club Keith Clapham said: “It was the first time in a few years that the school has won. It was a close competition with just a point between first and second place.
“The pupils enjoyed themselves and they all did really well and we would like to thank all the teachers for their support and for all the work they have done.”
The winning team was made up of James Wood, Katie Phipps, Luke Gonnella, Hollis Davy and Keenan McConville.
