Two keen cycling brothers from Colne had a wheely good time riding around the Steven Burke cycle track after taking it upon themselves to raise money for Sport Relief.

Barnaby Turner (6) and Jasper Turner (4) completed 22 laps (22km) raising over £120 for the charity. Barnaby managed 12 laps, and Jasper cycled 10 laps during the challenge.

They were inspired to do it by a school assembly at Laneshaw Bridge Primary School and by seeing Steven Burke in Sainsbury’s. After the event, the brothers were very excited when the Colne Cyclone himself ‘favourited’ proud mum Sara’s tweet describing the achievement.

Barnaby would like the money to be spent on “mosquito nets, sleeping bags and some meals”.
