Barrowford Park will benefit from a quacking amount of cash after a grand event in July.

Farnworth Rose Solicitors, which hosted the “Quacky Races” children’s duck race and the “High Flyers” corporate duck race at the Barrowford Lifestyle Festival, has donated all £1,300 of proceeds from the races to the park for restoration work.

Over 400 ducks flew down the river in the children’s race, with the lucky winners taking home a great selection of prizes.

In the “High Flyers” corporate duck races, businesses from around the local area were vying to win prizes ranging from a round of golf for four people to a designer polo shirt.

Richard Farnworth, Director at Farnworth Rose, said: “It was fantastic to see such a great turnout at the festival despite the weather not being on our side.

“We were delighted to be involved in the festival once again and we are already looking forward to the Barrowford Lifestyle Festival 2017.”
