Crews extinguished a blaze at a house in Carter Street, just before 8pm yesterday (Friday).

A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: "Two fire engines and crews, from Burnley and Padiham, responded to a fire at a house on Carter Street, Burnley. Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used a hosereel jet to extinguish the fire, the cause of which is to be established. No-one was injured."
