Former Claret Weller sets up new car business
Ex-Burnley midfielder Weller was forced to retire from football in 2004 with Crohn’s disease and has fallen out of love with working within the game after coaching spells at Turf Moor and Gigg Lane.
The 39-year-old has now started a business – W18 Cars where he will source and buy cars for customers.

Hide AdHe is also in talks with the Professional Footballers Association about helping to educate youngsters on what to look out for on buying a car.
Weller, who still lives in the area, admits his most expensive car was a £48,000 Range Rover.
Two other former Clarets, Glen Little and Jamie Hoyland, are also involved in the business.
Paul admitted he became disillusioned with football after turning to coaching following his retirement with Crohns disease 10 years ago, something he is still treated for.

Hide Ad“I love football, it’s just the politics and some of characters behind the scenes. It just stopped being for me so it was a case of ‘what do I do now?’
“Thankfully this is perfect for me and I really want to make a go of it. I have already got Marlon Beresford and John Deary as customers but everyone is valuable to me – whether they are spending £300 or £30,000.
“I am putting a proposal together to the PFA to go in and speak at clubs.”
