Four people have been arrested after a burglary and police chase.
The three men and one woman from Burnley and Nelson were stopped by police in a stolen 07 registered Peugeot 406 car in Broughton near Preston at 2am this morning.
Police traffic and dog patrols called in the force’s helicopter for help in stopping the vehicle after it was first picked up in the Blackpool area last night. A stinger was then used to stop the vehicle.
The arrested quartet are currently in custody in Preston and will be questioned by police today after being arrested on suspicion of burglary, and driving or allowing themselves to be carried in a stolen car.
The burglary at a property in Oak Bank Terrace in Barrowford was reported to police at 8-30pm last night.
A quantity of jewellery was also stolen in the burglary and is believed to have been recovered in the car by police.
