Gin Festival set for Burnley return

The Gin Festival is returning to Burnley Mechanics in September following the rip-roaring success of the sold-out 2015 edition.

Boasting over 100 gins, including bottles from local and up-and-coming distilleries, as well as cocktails and premium tonics and mixers, the event has something for everyone. Live entertainment, talks from gin experts and food will all be on offer, while the friendly staff will be milling around, keen to offer recommendations for any gin novices.

Jym Harris, co-founder of Gin Festival alongside his wife Marie, said: “We originally started Gin Festival as we absolutely love gin and couldn’t find any events to attend like ours, so we started our own!

“We couldn’t have predicted how quickly the company and demand for events would grow in only a few years.

“We love that we can bring the joy and diversity of great gin to gin lovers all over the UK.” Tickets - available for both the afternoon and evening sessions on Saturday 17 September which run from 12.30pm-5pm and 6.30pm-11pm respectively - cost £7.50 (plus booking fee) and include a complimentary Copa glass to keep, while drink tokens are £5 apiece.
