Glorious weather for Higham Exhibition - photos

IT has been yet another wonderful four-day Easter weekend at Higham Exhibition with hundreds of people passing through the doors of the arts and crafts exhibition.

But this year was a little more special due to the fact the annual event was celebrating its 40th anniversary.

The glorious weather helped draw in throngs of crowds to the school and church and the exhibition bustled with people non-stop from Good Friday until Easter Monday.

An array of stalls showed off the vast amount of talent on display with everything from paintings, to glassware, to jam and of course an abundance of handcraft items.

And over the years a staggering £96,769.06 has been raised for St John’s Church from the revenue of the event which the church says would suffer without it’s support.

The Mayor of Pendle, Coun. Tony Beckett, officially opened the exhibition and a birthday cake was cut to mark the special decade.
