Colne Cricket Club are hosting a fundraising 20/20 Challenge Match against a guest XI from Colne Golf Club on Friday August 7th.

A number of former players, who are now members at the Skipton Road club, have decided to swop their irons and the white ball for leather and willow once again in an effort to help the Horsfielder’s continue in their efforts to clear the debt that currently saddles the club.

The Golf Club XI will contain a number of former 1st XI captains, including Jeff Ellis, Nick Moulding and Matthew Wilson, along with club stalwarts Matthew Constable, Chris Heap, Ryan Procter and Jack Mansfield.

In addition to many of the current 1st XI squad, the Cricket Club XI will contain a number of former players, who will be pitting their wits against many of their former team-mates.

During the match there will be BBQ, DJ and raffle while the post-game entertainment in the club house will be provided by former Colne professional Joe Scuderi’s band The Joe Publix.

Entry is free, however buckets will be present at all gates where all donations are greatly appreciated.

Wickets will be pitched at 6pm with the band scheduled to start their first set in the club house at 9pm. For further details please contact Matt Walker on 07738621958 or
