Injured horse rider in Burnley assisted by mountain rescue team

The incident happened around 7-20pm when the specialist team of volunteers were called out to assist with the evacuation of the rider by the North West Ambulance Service.
A spokesman for the RPMT said: "The paramedic onscene was one of our team members, and was quickly joined by the team vehicle and volunteers who made their way to the location.

Hide Ad"After some additional pain relief was provided, the team placed the casualty onto our mountain rescue bell stretcher. A short carry later, over the footbridge and they were transferred over to the awaiting ambulance.
"We wish the casualty a speedy recovery."
