The stars of this season’s Colne pantomime gathered at the base of the beanstalk to launch this year’s extravaganza.
George Critchley, for PMA Productions Ltd, returns to Colne for the 21st consecutive year bringing his version of Jack and The Beanstalk to life with a cow, some magic beans, a never-ending beanstalk and a ferocious giant.
Comedy genius Keith De’Winter plays Dame Dolly, Shorelle Hepkin is Fairy Cupcake, Joshua Dowen is Jack and George will play Silly Billy.
And as usual, the cast will be supported by youngsters from the East Lancs School of Dance.
Following a successful run as The Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty in 2015, Shorelle, from CBBC’s Wolfblood, will return to Colne, to take on the role of The Fairy in this traditional tale.
Everyone’s favourite Dame, Keith, is also back in Colne direct from his role as Goss Toowers in the latest Star Wars block-buster.
Joshua Dowen returns to The Muni to take on the lead role of Jack after doing such a wonderful job last time he played the part in 2013.
And, of course, the show wouldn’t be the same without George, who, as well as acting, is producing and directing the musical masterpiece.
Can Jack be a hero and climb the beanstalk to battle the Giant - and his evil sidekick Fleshcreep - and rescue the Princess?
Along with a full, professional, supporting cast and all the traditional ingredients of a fun-filled, family pantomime, this is sure to be a treat for any age.
Jack and The Beanstalk will be on stage at The Muni from Saturday, January 7th until Sunday, January 22nd.
