Major disorder: Gang armed with baseball bats and crowbars in Burnley
Police have launched an investigation into incidents of major disorder in Stoneyholme.
A crowd of around 400 people gathered on the streets around Gordon Street on Tuesday evening when a group of men armed with crowbars and baseball bats attacked and injured four people.
The first incident happened around 8pm on Tuesday with the major disorder taking place just before midnight.
The two incidents are believed to be linked.
Police have arrested and questioned a 49-year-old man on suspicion of wounding.
