Manchester '˜warmer than Madrid' today

Sun-drenched Manchester is set to be hotter than Madrid today - but make the most of the heatwave across the North West as it isn't going to last!

With temperatures set to peak at 26C this afternoon, the Met Office has predicted Manchester could be the warmest in the country.

Today the forecast across the North West is for more sunshine and ‘very warm’ temperatures, following a weekend of sunshine. However it isn’t all good news as the Met Office has released a pollen count warning for hay fever sufferers.

Tuesday’s weather is expected to continue with warm sunshine and highs of 25C before Met Office figures suggest temperatures will drop to a cooler 20°C with some cloud.

And, unfortunately, next weekend doesn’t look as promising, with some rain expected over Sunday and top temperatures of 18°C.
