Staff at the Nelson-based Marsden Building Society nominated their chosen charity as Rosemere Cancer Foundation as they bid for items in their charity auction, raising a fantastic £1,380.
The society staff placed their bids throughout the week with the hope to win the items.
Rob Pheasey, Chief Executive, said: ‘It’s great to see staff getting so involved in fund raising for the Society and nominating a charity to receive the donation.
“It was a unanimous decision by our staff to help Rosemere as it is such a fantastic charity that helps the local community.
“As a mutual, our business ethos is driven by supporting the communities in which we work.
“We are always keen to get on board with charity events and fund-raising and the result of this one was really impressive”.
Dan Hill, Rosemere’s Area Fund-raising Co-ordinator, said: “We are very grateful to the Marsden Building Society and its staff for choosing to support Rosemere through its recent charity auction.
“We aim to provide world class cancer treatments and services as close to home as possible for patients.
“This generous donation will ensure we can continue to provide world class care for local cancer patients in our community.
