Councillors have deferred making a decision on an outline planning application which could see up to 148 new homes in Barnoldswick.
Pendle Council’s West Craven Committee considered a re-submitted application from the Sutton Family Pension Trust at its meeting on Tuesday night.
The application is for access only at this stage to the site of the former Barnsay Shed and the adjacent field off Long Ing Lane but an indicative layout of 101 three bedroom properties and 47 two bedroom homes were shown with spaces for 222 cars and 296 bicycles.
Although the plan had a recommendation to delegate grant consent to the council’s planning department, councillors had concerns over the noise assessment, drainage issues and section 106 funding. It is now set to be heard at the next meeting in May.
