Mayor’s touch launches new Colne firm

A family fun day marked the opening of a new kitchen and bathroom showroom in Colne.

Pendle’s mayor, Coun. Nawaz Ahmed, helped perform the official ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Plumbase showroom in Regent Street.

The bank holiday weekend attracted both tradesmen and members of the public to the 3,000sq.ft. showroom, and youngsters were entertained with a bouncy castle.

Plumbase Colne was formerly Boundary Bathrooms, which had been closed for the redesign and fit-out. It was acquired by Plumbase in January. The concept is designed to encourage tradesmen to take their customers there, so they can see kitchens and bathrooms that are available.

At the heart of the showroom is a fully working kitchen designed for cookery demonstrations using steam ovens, induction hobs and a boiling water tap.
