Michael takes up Catenians' president post

Retired consultant civil engineer Michael Jones has been installed as the new President of Burnley Catenians.

He was welcomed in a ceremony at Burnley Football Club attended by 70 Catenians and their families from across the North West.

Michael, who is a parishioner at St Teresa’s RC Church in Burnley, has been a member of the Catenians for more than 30 years and this is his third time as the Burnley President, the first time in 2002.

The Burnley Catenians are part of the Catenian Association which is an international body of practising Catholic laymen.

Locally, meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at Burnley Football Club and membership is open to practising Catholic laymen from the age of 18 years.
