A motorist had to be cut free from their car after an accident in Nelson on Saturday night.
Firefighters from Nelson attended the incident in Back Lane at 8-15pm and when they arrived found that there was one vehicle involved, which had come off the roadway and was positioned on its side.
A fire service spokesman said: “There was one trapped casualty in the vehicle. Firefighters used a triple extension ladder, ratchet straps, dewalt saw and holmatro cutters and spreaders to extricate the casualty who was then taken to hospital by paramedics.
“Firefighters were at the scene for approximately one hour.”
