Two “petrolhead” pals are preparing for the drive of their life when they take part in the Two Ball Banger Rally.
Nelson friends and workmates Eddie Wilkinson and Andrew Mortimer will drive their converted Honda Prelude across some of Europe’s most spectacular scenery in the charity rally.

Colleagues at Rigby’s Coaches, the pair have very personal reasons for their charity fund-raising.
Eddie (51) is currently in remission for lymphoma and is raising money for Manchester’s Christie Hospital, while Andrew (45) is fund-raising for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign in memory of his younger brother who died from the condition.
Eddie, of Vincent Road, said: “Andrew and I are both petrolheads so this is our perfect holiday, and also a chance to give something back to causes that are close to us.
“The rally is organised by an English company but takes in 10 countries in four days over mainland Europe.
“One of the rules of the race was that competitors had to buy a car for less than £565 but there was no limit on converting it.
“The rally starts on August 13th in St Omer, France, and finishes in Nice. We will be covering around 400 miles a day as well as taking in several ‘Top Gear’ style challenges.
“I have never driven in Europe before so it should be a great experience. Most of the route is scenic country roads so we should see some spectacular scenery too.”
The pair, who will be setting off in fancy dress as cartoon characters Beavis and Butthead, have already raised around £3,000 but are hoping to reach £5,000.
Once the race is finished, the friends plan to sell their car and give the money to their two charities.
