Number of overall deaths in Burnley higher than average in March
Figures released today by the Office for National Statistics show the overall number of deaths in Burnley last month was 97.
In comparison, the average number of deaths from all causes in March over the previous five years in Burnley is 86.

Hide AdThe ONS figures also revealed that overall deaths in England for March had increased by 3.56% based on the same previous five-year average, while in the North-West the number had risen 5%
Earlier this week, it was reported that weekly deaths in England and Wales had hit a 20-year high with the ONS disclosing 18,500 deaths in the week up to April 10th.
