Staff at a Pendle car dealership will be pulling out all of the fund-raising stops for Comic Relief in the build up to Red Nose Day on Friday, March 13th.

Vantage Toyota Colne is one of 10 Toyota dealerships in Vantage Motor Group that have collectively pledged to raise £40,000 for Red Nose Day.

Teams at each of the 10 Vantage dealerships have devised their own wacky and out-of-the-ordinary fund-raising challenges, with the aim of raising as much as possible.

Staff at the dealership on North Valley Road have assembled their fund-raising “dream team” and are running a series of activities including a John o’Groats to Land’s End showroom exercise bike challenge for customers and local residents, and staff offering windscreen washes at the local McDonalds drive through.

As an official partner for Red Nose Day, Toyota is the only exclusive retailer of Red Noses for Cars and the team at the Colne dealership will have the special noses available, with all proceeds going towards the charity.

Jon Banner, Toyota brand director at Vantage Motor Group, said: “As the third largest Toyota dealer group in the UK, it’s important that we use this as an opportunity to raise these vital funds through embracing some real community spirit.”

And Steve Featherstone, centre principal at Vantage Toyota Colne, said: “Here at the Colne, dealership we can’t wait to get stuck in and raise as much as possible for this brilliant cause. We’re asking anyone who is driving by to pop in and see which challenge we’re tackling and give their cars a Comic Relief makeover with the special Red Noses!”

The money raised by Red Nose Day assists a wide range of initiatives for the Comic Relief charity, focused on creating lasting change for people and communities facing tough challenges in the UK and Africa.
