An extreme outdoor challenge has been taken on by a Colne employee as part of a huge fund-raising drive for Children in Need.

Along with DFS colleagues from across the country, Dave O’Donnell (28), pictured on the back row (second from right), tackled the Olympic white water rafting course in Hertfordshire.

David, who has worked at DFS for three years, said: “I feel very proud to be raising money for BBC Children in Need, it’s a fantastic organisation that does so much to support local charities all over the UK – including those right here in Colne.

“The white water rafting challenge was really tough but a lot of fun, and it was a honour to grace the same course as Team GB’s Olympians. We even managed to mount a DFS sofa on the raft.”

DFS are now planning more events, to help reach their ambitious £1m target.
