A new business in Colne called Pendle Tots is going to provide vital equipment for children – and on Saturday, families can call in and have a look.
It is based in the same location as Pendle Chiropody Clinic in a former solicitor’s office at 50 Albert Road.
And organiser Emma Dundon said: “We will be selling nearly new baby/toddler clothes and equipment. To mark our opening we are having an open day on Saturday and we will be having guest appearances by cartoon characters Peppa Pig and Fireman Sam, and children can come and have their photo taken with them.
“We have hired mascot costumes. We are very excited with our new venture and have had some great feedback from local residents saying it’s just what the town needs!
“Being a mother myself, I know just how expensive having a baby can be and we are hoping to make it more affordable for local people while still offering good quality items.”
And she said: “We will also be offering a commission service where we can sell prams, cots, etc. for people in store. Anything that does not sell within a certain timeframe will be given back to the seller or donated to the Pendle Women’s Refuge and we will also be donating clothes to them.
“Last May I moved my chiropody business to new premises on Albert Road, and the new business will be within the same building.”
So families can take children along between noon and 4pm to see the new gear available.
