Opinion: Roadworks gridlock no surprise

The plethora of roadworks finally took its toll as traffic ground to a halt, blood pressure rose and journey times trebled.

Now we also have the added issue of more roadworks on the M65 - adding insult to injury.

And yet, there still appears to be little or no work being carried on the roundabout at the top of Westgate. Traffic backs up and drivers attempt to peer over concrete barriers in a bid to get out of junctions. Enough said.
