LETTER: Don’t hold your breath on Prime Minister’s pledges

IT certainly is tough talking on crime from PM David Cameron as he has announced that in future we will be able to defend ourselves and our homes from muggers and burglars as well as new laws against squatters.

But, before we start celebrating this outburst of common sense, we must first remember this is from the man that promised us a “cast iron guarantee” of a referendum on our membership of the European Union.

And he has performed countless U-turns on policies, other than his reckless decisions on our armed services, blaming the Lib-Dems in the process.

Playing to the gallery of his party faithful springs to mind. Time will, of course, tell if his latest pronouncements come good, but I would not hold your breath.
