A Pendle author is celebrating after her books simultaneously entered two different bestseller charts on Amazon.

Joanne St Clair, who is currently penning her fourth book, has seen a recent surge in sales, placing her first book “Statue In The Square” at Number 24 in its genre, while her second book “Naked Raver” has peaked at Number 9, the highest it has achieved since it was published two years ago.

“It has been a wonderful surprise,” said Joanne. “Seeing my books alongside some very well known international bestselling authors is a reward for the passion I put into my work, as well as the effort I make to reach out to my readers.”

It is not the first time she has enjoyed success of this nature, with “Statue In The Square” previously entering the charts both in the USA and the UK. However, it is the first time “Naked Raver” has charted so high, with it being listed alongside the work of reputable philosophers who have inspired her work.

“I have a background in Aerospace Engineering,” added Joanne. “I first came to Nelson 10 years ago to lecture at the local college. However, I always had a deep desire to write, and this fuelled me to become a self-employed author where I take full responsibility for my books, from their final design to the way in which they engage with their potential audience.”

Since committing to a writing career, Joanne has received letters from all over the world, including Mexico, Australia, South Africa, and the States.

Her books focus on the development of inner potential, and she uses simple fiction to deliver insights into the science of mind and the philosophy of the spirit.

Genuine reviews on Amazon document the impact they have on the reader, with many purchasing all her books after just reading one of them.

“My books are promoted via word of mouth recommendations,” said Joanne. “For example, an avid fan contacted me recently to request three signed copies of ‘Naked Raver’ which she will use as Christmas presents this year, with one of these copies heading out to Thailand to a friend who is currently travelling.

“This type of impact is important to me, because this is how books become very popular within a certain group.”

Joanne’s fourth book “Boudoir of Bondaged Souls” is currently being developed as part of a multimedia project that involves art, music, and literature, her goal being to take her work into the realm of short videos and stage.

“Yes, it is an exciting time,” she added. “I have a very good relationship with my designer, Daniel Orlick, and together we are working on a unique project that sees me literally breathing life into a range of his designs via fiction.”

All of her books are available via Amazon and other major bookstores.
