Pendle Charity League to mark big milestone

A special dinner will help mark XLCR Pendle Charity League's upcoming 50th anniversary.

The event takes place on Friday, June 1st at Turf Moor and league organisers are also launching a new cup competition for next season as a lasting memorial.

A new trophy, specially made in France, has been donated by the League Secretary, Chris Hogan.

“We wanted to mark the 50th anniversary with a celebration and also provide a lasting memorial to everyone who has helped the league reach this milestone,” he said.

“The dinner promises to be a great occasion. Paul Fletcher MBE and Steve Kindon have kindly agreed to speak at the event and Tom Scothern will provide the musical entertainment.

“XLCR Vehicle Management will be sponsoring the event and we hope to raise money on the evening for our adopted charities, MND and Prostate Cancer UK.”
