Pendle Hill walk is planned
Fox Holes, Cat Holes and Boar Clough are all locations on this well-loved Lancashire landmark and close to the route of a guided walk which will be taking place on Saturday, June 25th.
Meeting at Barley car park, the walk will set off at 10am, and the group is expected to be back between 3pm and 4pm depending on how fast the walk is and the weather conditions.

She said: “We’ll be following a popular route onto the hill from the village of Barley and it will be a great chance for people to find out about the new Pendle Hill Landscape Partnership scheme which is currently being developed.”
Given clear weather, the views from the summit of the hill are breath-taking and the reason why thousands of people make their way to the top each year.
The very popularity of Pendle Hill can lead to problems with congestion and erosion, and it’s hoped the Heritage Lottery-funded Landscape Partnership scheme could help to address some of these issues.

Around seven miles long in total, the return route of the walk will take in Black Moss reservoir and the sculpture trail at the top of Aitken Wood, before returning to the village.
The walk costs £3 per person and places need to be booked in advance by calling the AONB office on 01200 448000 or by emailing [email protected]
