Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson has been nominated for the MP of the Year 2016 award which is run by Patchwork Foundation.
The charity, Patchwork Foundation, which aims to promote and encourage under-represented, deprived and minority communities within Britain, has invited Mr Stephenson after his nomination.
Mr Stephenson said: “This has come as a pleasant surprise, I am very grateful to everyone who has voted for me and I will continue to work hard for everyone in Pendle regardless of their background.”
Each year, MPs across the country work closely within their communities and this award reflects the work that they do.
The winner will be announced by The Speaker John Bercow MP at the Speakers House on Wednesday, November 2nd.
