A one-way system has been introduced to guide customers through the market with signs encouraging people to stay two metres apart.

Hide AdSpeaking about the reopening, stallholder Sharon, of Sharon's Habicraft, said: "It has been great to be able to reopen today. Having stood on Clitheroe Market for over 30 years, it is very much part of my life, and these last nine weeks have been extremely trying for me. I have missed being able to talk to my regulars, (many of whom I regard as good friends), meet new customers and share my passion for dressmaking and handicrafts with them all. Clitheroe, as a town has a strong community feel, where people care about their neighbours and acquaintances, and that is part what makes it such a special place to live. The Market is like a mini community within the town, where the stallholders all try to support and be there for each other - I have definitely missed the companionship of the other stallholders!"
She added: "Doing what I love, whilst enjoying glorious weather and seeing the market buzzing and vibrant has lifted my spirits, lightened my mood and made my feel that maybe we are through the worst of the crisis - long make that continue, and long may our market thrive."
