Four fire engines were called to commercial premises in Colne yesterday afternoon after a washing machine caught fire.

The blaze broke out at premises in Langroyd Road at 4-45pm and engines from Colne, Nelson and Earby were called to the scene.

Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus used one hose reel and a ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
