The Greenspaces team deserve a pat on the back for the hard work they have put intom sprucing up the waterside seating area in Padiham's Green Lane.

Obscured by overgrown trees for several years, the seating area at the bottom of Green Lane is now an inviting space for walkers and residents to stop off for a break.

Trees have been cut back and the area cleared and cleaned up by staff from Burnley Council's greenspaces team.

Many residents were even unaware of the existence of the seating area, which is opposite the Bridge pub, as it has become so overgrown and often used as a dumping ground for litter.
