The bumper egg donation was supported by Burnley MP Antony Higginbotham, Bookers Cash and Carry and donation boxes at Birds and Rosegrove chip shops.

Residents also took part in a best decorated window competition and judges visited all the 60 houses that took part, before choosing the best five. The winners were presented with Easter egg prizes.

The winners of the best decorated Easter windows were in Rosegrove Lane, Bluebell Close, Owen Street and Caernarvon Avenue.
