To honour the day, residents watched the National Anthem sung in Welsh and, of course, Tom Jones, Katherine Jenkins and Shirley Bassey was the music of the day!

A spokesman for the Manor House said: "The activities had a Welsh theme with a quiz, word search and the longest Welsh town name was used for an anagram. Fun was had trying to speak a little Welsh, which proved really difficult. Traditional Welsh lamb and leeks with all the trimmings were on the menu for the special day."
