The Mayor and Mayoress of Pendle have married in their borough.
The marriage service was held at St Bartholomew Church, Colne, on Friday and was followed by a reception at Nelson and Colne College’s Farringtons Restaurant.
The bride and groom – Pendle Council Liberal Democrat councillor Graham Roach and Colne Town Councillor Joanne Sagar – were joined by family, friends and fellow politicians for their special day.
The bridesmaid was Joanna’s sister, Michelle Gregory, and best man was the Mayor’s fellow councillor, Neil Butterworth.
At St Bartholomew’s, the wedding ceremony was performed by the Rev. Lisa Senior, assisted by curate the Rev. Catherine Braithwaite. The couple’s first hymn was “Love Divine, All Loves Excelling”.
