Around 180 people enjoyed the annual ball held by the Mayor and Mayoress of Pendle at the ACE Centre, Nelson, on Friday evening.
Civic heads from across Lancashire attended the event staged by the Mayor, Coun. Asjad Mahmood and his wife, Samina.
The event raised money for the Mayoress’s three charities – Leukaemia and Lymphona Research, Rainbows at Barrowford and Derian House Children’s Hospice.
It also had a “Hearts and Flowers” theme and included a meal, an auction, raffle and tombola as well as entertainment by an Abba tribute duo and a 70s, 80s and 90s disco.
A spokesman said the evening had been very successful and many compliments had been received this week.
