I have always thought that politics is a bit like Marmite – you either hate or love it.
I sit in the latter camp on both scores.
In the next four weeks we are going to get the General Election rammed down our throats and there is a real danger many people will be so fed up of the whole thing they will not even bother to vote.
But it really is important that people use their vote in both the national and local elections.
The parliamentary battle in Burnley and Pendle looks set to be a real humdinger and every vote will count.
People will have no grounds to grumble if they do not use their vote on May 7th.
