Goals from Jay Rodriguez, Erik Pieters and Jeff Hendrick opened up a three-goal cushion for the hosts at the midway point of the first half before Ivan Toney pulled a goal back for Posh. Rodriguez netted again after the break to put the game to bed while substitute Ricky Jade-Jones grabbed a second for the visitors.
9. Jeff Hendrick 8
The midfielder has had his critics in recent weeks, but he was excellent against Posh. Hendrick was instrumental in and out of possession and deserved his goal. He was involved in Rodriguez's second and struck the bar from a free kick.
10. Chris Wood 6
Should have scored with a close range header, which led to the opening goal of the tie. However, the striker worked well for the team and linked play well in the final third of the pitch.
11. Jay Rodriguez 8
The striker was on his toes to open the scoring when Pym denied Wood and took his second extremely well when played in by Lennon. He was a real live wire up front for the Clarets.
12. Charlie Taylor 6
Didn't have a great deal to do defensively after coming on for the second half of the tie. Got forward well in support of Pieters and whipped a few teasing balls in to the box.
