Rubbish blaze tackled in Trawden

A rubbish blaze caused severe damage to a wooden panel on the outside of building in Trawden this evening. (Sunday)

Fire crews from Colne were called to the incident in Coal Pit Lane after reports of a refuse fire close to a building. When crews arrived they found two rubbish braziers and numerous wooden pallets alight. Four firefighters wearing breathing apparatus put the blaze out using two hose reels. They also used a thermal imaging camera to assist them. The fire happened at around 8-30pm.
