Hundreds of online tributes have been paid to one of Burnley’s leading business bosses who died suddenly at the weekend.
John Kennedy (58), general manager of TRW in Burnley, died in the early hours of Saturday surrounded by his devoted wife Sue and children Jamie, Josh and Charlotte.
The couple had been married for 40 years.
A devoted family man, John was a great champion of all things Burnley and sat on the Burnley Focus Group.
He was a great supporter of the town and even had a special ‘Burnley room’ at TRW’s Eastern Avenue site.
A keen sportsman, John’s first allegiance was with Glasgow Rangers and he still travelled to home games with his life-long friend and fellow Burnley businessman Donnie Doran.
He posted: “My heartfelt condolences go out to his lovely family who he loved, supported and educated with his wit, life’s experiences and moral compass. He will be sadly missed in my life and I’m sure his beloved Ibrox Park will never be the same again without his presence. Glasgow Rangers really has lost one its true sons.”
John was heavily involved in the family business Fitness Experience where Sue, Jamie and Josh all work as personal trainers.
