Sainsbury’s Colne will be transformed into an autism-friendly space on Monday.

A calmer environment will be created, including a quieter tannoy and café music, while staff will be given information on autism.

Store Manager Mike O’ Hara said: “We’re proud to be supporting Autism Hour. It’s an excellent initiative which will help increase understanding of autism among our colleagues and customers.”

It is the first time the Colne store has supported The National Autistic Society’s Autism Hour campaign, which will begin at 10am.
