And Pendle Leisure Trust’s Marketing Manager Sue Madigan has urged folk to be quick with booking their spot to see “Sleeping Beauty” before shows sell out.

Sue said: “The panto really is a fabulous night out for all the family. There’s lots of audience participation, great dance routines, up-to-date tunes, a few innuendos for the adults and definitely lots of laughs.

“It doesn’t matter what age you are, you are guaranteed a few hours of being thoroughly entertained.

“Panto favourite Keith De’ Winter returns for his tenth season to play the dame - it just wouldn’t be the same without him.

“Couple him with George Critchley who returns for his nineteenth consecutive year and you get complete mayhem, which after all, is what panto is all about.

“Add Darren John Langford, who plays the snotty and scatty Lord Chamberpot and you have a comedy trio that will keep you giggling all the way through, especially when they do one of my favourite bits - ‘The 12 days of Christmas’ – it’s hilarious.

“Nikki Horsburgh takes on the title role as Princess Aurora and Shorelle Hepkin from CBBC’s ‘Wolfblood’ is the narrator in her role as fairy Liquid who talks you through this traditional fairytale with a twist.

“George Critchley never disappoints – and I know he won’t with this adaptation of ‘Sleeping Beauty’. Put it one way – I’ll be going. I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
