Vital funds were raised by members of Earby and District Gardeners’ Society at an annual plant sale and coffee morning.

Society funds grew by a total of £150 after Saturday’s event at Earby’s New Road Community Centre.

The ever-successful sale also provides keen gardeners with the opportunity to trade ideas over a coffee and Chairman and President of the group, David Hartley, is delighted it’s continuing to flourish.

He said: “It was very popular again. I had to go and get another car load full of bedding plants they were selling so well.

“There were not many left and those that were have been have been bedded in at the community centre to make it look nice for summer.

“We had a raffle and I’m sure we’ll have raised in the region of £150.”
