Three people were left needing treatment for smoke inhalation after a fire at a Nelson recycling plant.
Four fire engines from Nelson and Colne attended the blaze at Norpol Recycling in Charles Street on Sunday at 8pm.
On arrival at the scene, there was a lot of smoke and as a result a number of houses in the surrounding area were evacuated as a precaution.
The three members of staff were treated by paramedics at the scene.
The fire involved a machine in the industrial unit and firefighters used six breathing apparatus sets, two hose reels and a thermal imaging camera to put the fire out.
The fire was extinguished by the following morning but crews returned to ensure no pockets of flames remained and began an investigation into the fire.
