Members and supporters of Pendle Conservatives have gathered together for the party’s annual summer garden party.
The event was held at the home of David and Coun. Sarah Cockburn-Price in Colne and was attended by members from across the borough.
Despite the weather, members both old and new enjoyed the afternoon in company of local councillors and Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson.
Chairman of Pendle Conservative Association, Hon. Alderman Pauline McCormick, said everybody had enjoyed a lovely afternoon.
She said: “It was lovely to see so many new faces at the garden party, it was a lovely relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere and even the rain stayed away for most of the afternoon.”
Pendle MP Andrew Stephenson added: “I am delighted that recent events have led to a surge of people joining the local Conservative Party.
“Social events such as these are a great way for members and friends to get together in a social and relaxed environment and I always enjoy meeting up with our members who do so much for the party locally.
