Town mourns tragic Burnley teenager

The 16-year-old Unity College pupil was found by police officers at shortly after 4pm yesterday in woodland at Rowley Park, Rowley Lane.

A post-mortem examination was expected to be carried out today.

More than 100 people who had gathered outside Burnley Library at 6pm yesterday to continue the search were given the tragic news by officers.

Officers stayed on to offer support to those in attendance, many of whom were youngsters.
