Burnley road closures: three for motorists to avoid over the next fortnight

But drivers will be able to take some solace in the fact that all of them are only expected to cause slight delays, of under 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are taking place over the next two weeks:

M65, from 8pm October 23 to 6am October 28, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M65 eastbound, J7 to J10 - lane closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M65, from 8pm October 30 to 6am November 4, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M65 eastbound, J7 to J10 - lane closure and slip road closure for barriers - permanent on behalf of National Highways.

• M65, from 8pm November 6 to 5am November 8, slight delays (under 10 minutes): M65 both directions M65, junction 11 to 13 - lane closure for lha works on behalf of Lancashire County Council.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
