Firefighters free man from car after Blacko crash

A man was freed from his car by the fire service after a crash in Blacko this morning.

The collision between two cars occurred in Blacko Bar Road at 8am and a man remained trapped inside his vehicle.

Paramedics called for the assistance of the fire service and two fire engines and crews from Nelson responded.

Firefighters released the man without the need for hydraulic equipment by pushing the two cars way from each other.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
