Man rushed to hospital after Burnley substation accident

A man has been rushed to hospital after suffering crush injuries at a Burnley substation this afternoon.

The man, aged in his 50s, was taken by road ambulance to the Royal Blackburn Hospital.

A spokesman for the North West Air Ambulance, which was called to Centenary Way to assist the man just after 1pm, confirmed he had suffered leg injuries but did not need to be airlifted.
